Takahashi said, “The new Attrage’s lightweight and solid RISE body constructed with high tensile steel enhances driving safety, by effectively absorbing and dispersing crash energy. The Attrage’s surprisingly roomy interior and wide-ranging amenities reach far beyond its class to provide driving pleasure thanks to agility and pleasing driving dynamics, stemming from its lighter weight as well as its reassuring handling, stability and comfortable ride. It is noteworthy that Mitsubishi celebrates its centennial year as being the first Japanese automotive brand having introduced its first mass-production car in Japanese history in 1917.
Throughout its history, the company has developed new technologies and tapped into different fields. The Mitsubishi Pajero scored its first win at the Paris-Dakar World Rally in 1982, which allowed the company to play an instrumental role in shaping the global trend towards sports cars and to enhance driving pleasure with high-performance vehicles including SUVs.

The company also ushered in the modern world of electric cars in 2009, with the i-MiEV, which broke new ground and forged a path toward the company’s electric future and became the world’s first modern highway-capable mass production electric car.

As it moves towards its second centennial, Mitsubishi strives to give added value to its cars and pursue its contribution to the progress of the global community.
